The Hessler Street Fair is a FREE annual community arts and music festival, celebrating its 43rd year on historic Hessler Road in Cleveland’s University Circle.  It is a family-friendly event, showcasing local artists, food, musicians and poets.  The fair is one Cleveland’s most successful, attracting thousands of visitors each year.

The Hessler Street Fair is a FREE annual community arts and music festival, celebrating its 43rd year on historic Hessler Road in Cleveland’s University Circle.  It is a family-friendly event, showcasing local artists, food, musicians and poets.  The fair is one Cleveland’s most successful, attracting thousands of visitors each year. 
 
Running from 11 am to dusk Saturday and Sunday, it features a diverse mixture of musical styles and venues, and is a non-profit, volunteer-run weekend, focusing on celebrating community, arts and culture.  The Hessler Street Fair promotes a spirit of togetherness and carefree fun in a homegrown and family-friendly atmosphere.
 
The Hessler Street Fair is also the primary fund-raiser for the Hessler Neighborhood Association (HNA).  The HNA was founded in 1969 as a non-profit corporation engaged in activities to enhance the social and architectural quality of the neighborhood.
The funds the HNA has generated from the Hessler Street Fair since 1969 have been used to restore, preserve and maintain residences in the Hessler Neighborhood Association.  Through the dedicated efforts of Hessler Road residents, Hessler Road and Hessler Court were dedicated as Cleveland’s first local landmark district in 1975.
 
This year’s fair will be held Saturday May 19 and Sunday May 20, 2012 from 11 am to dusk, rain or shine.
